BLACK DYNAMITE: The Animated Series (Pilot) IS LIVE!

Black Dynamite is easily my favorite comedy of the past decade and it has more successful "laughs-per-minute" than I can think of in a film since Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein. But, part of what made it work as a parody of those 70s films was how the movie was badly filmed and the acting was so ridiculously portrayed by the actors. So, taking this into animation had me concerned.

I was a fool to be worried. With this being animated, they've decided to bring this into more of a comic book style format and tell more extreme blaxploitation, sci-fi/pulp adventures. With the soundtrack carrying over from the film and all of the main cast re-portraying their (in)famous roles, I only want more of this. With the animation teams of The Boondocks & Afro Samurai behind this, it may be one of the best looking shows on television. Live-action or otherwise.
